OUR HISTORY
Signet Partners was formed in 1988 to assist the banking industry with troubled real estate loans and foreclosed property. We provided portfolio asset management, due diligence and disposition services to banks, investment partnerships, the Resolution Trust Corporation and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). As principals in real estate investment, we have managing partner experience in land assemblages and entitlements, development property, mixed-use subdivisions and resort projects.
In 1996, Signet began its on-going support of the General Services Administration in real property process and economic performance, valuation and professional-level staff augmentation. The Department of Housing and Urban Development launched a national program to realign direct subsidies to multifamily properties in 1999, reflecting verified market conditions for rent and operating expenses, physical condition assessments, low-income housing demand and economic performance of subject properties.
Ten years later, Signet remains a major service provider for this HUD program that now includes green retrofit improvements authorized under economic stimulus legislation. In addition, with the reoccurrence of bank failures, Signet is once again supporting FDIC in its resolution of related troubled real property assets.
