Representative Engagement: General Services Administration (GSA) - Portfolio Restructure Initiative
Aligned GSA's asset portfolio with its mission to keep
buildings in good repair and to provide Federal agencies with quality
space and services at a competitive cost. Signet Partners provides
four (4) full-time MAI designated appraisers to GSA for the valuation
of PBS portfolio properties. Under the direction of GSA officials,
Signet Partners' staff is housed at GSA Headquarters in Washington
DC and conducts appraisals and reviews appraisals prepared by 3rd
party contractors. GSA properties being evaluated and appraised
include office, warehouse, land and special use facilities (including
border stations). Based on economic performance of the property and
its strategic importance to the GSA mission of meeting client tenant
needs, the efforts of Signet Partners' appraisers have formed the foundation
for Retention/Disposal studies and Property Excess designations. (GSA
